Central Designer: Next-Generation Study Design

Wednesday, 9 April 2008, 13:30 – 16:30

As the use of electronic data capture (EDC) for clinical studies continues to increase, life sciences companies are re-examining their design and build processes to maximize their operational efficiencies. The design and build process to transform a protocol into a completely built EDC study is critical but can be time-consuming.

With the release of Phase Forward's Central Designer product, many companies are looking at how best to adopt this new technology to reduce their study built time. Organizations are reviewing their existing processes and seeking implementation strategies that will increase process efficiencies while minimizing costs and disruptions. In this workshop, experienced Phase Forward services representatives will walk through the best practices being used by designers and developers involved in Phase Forward’s ASP engagements and discuss possible best practices for other organizations.

During this session, several topics will be covered such as methodologies for building and using libraries, collaboration approaches, utilizing study templates, efficient form design and rule development, and generating trial data extracts, as well as covering how to gain process efficiencies by using the various features and functions in Central Designer.

Workshop Leader: Craig Payne, Senior Applications Engineer, Hetain Dagar, Technical Consultant and Carole Johnson, Senior Clinical Design Consultant
