Since joining Phase Forward in 1999, Ari Buchler has led Phase Forward's corporate and legal affairs globally and advises the company's Board of Directors. He has directed the company’s efforts to establish strong contractual and strategic relationships with its continuously growing global client base of top-tier pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device companies. Buchler played a central role in Phase Forward’s pre-IPO capital raising efforts and its initial and secondary public offerings. He is a key member of the company’s corporate development team and has played an integral part in the execution of Phase Forward’s acquisition strategy.

Before joining Phase Forward, Buchler served as corporate counsel for Cahners Business Information (now Reed Business Information), a leading business-information provider, and prior to that as a corporate associate in the Boston office of Skadden, Arps LLP, one of the world's leading law firms. At Cahners and Skadden, Arps, Buchler focused on mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions.

Buchler earned his law degree with honors from Columbia University School of Law and received a Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, from Hunter College of the City University of New York.

Buchler serves on the Board of Trustees of the MGH Institute of Health Professions and is a Member of the Corporation of Partners HealthCare System.  He also serves in an advisory role of a number of New England technology companies.
